The Minor’s Handwriting Competition, run by Downpatrick Credit Union in conjunction with calligraphy group, Lecale Letterers has come to an end, and the winners have been selected.
This was the first year that the Competition has been running. It was open to all young people in the area aged five to fifteen years.
Judging took place at the end of April by members of Lecale Letterers and the winning entrants were announced. The winners were as follows:

Group A (5-8 years)
Winner: Eoin McMullan
Runner-Up: Niomi Branniff
Group B (9-12 years)
Winner: Leah Burns
Runner-Up: Emma Ross
