In March 2009 we named the Credit Union's board room 'The Magorrian Room' in honour of our long-serving president Pat Magorrian and his late wife Pasty, who also served on the Board of Directors.

At Easter we held a free draw for our members, where several of them won a large Easter Egg.

Our main event for the 40th Anniversary was or celebratory evening in Denvir's Hotel. Founding Directors were invited back to catch up on past times. We also had a meal, heard speeches, displays were on show all followed by some music.
Included in the picture above are Philip Blair (PR Officer) and Pat Magorrian (President) with the special limited edition brochures launched on the night; Anne Trainor, Francie Young and Ann Irvine present Mrs Carmel Scallon with a floral display. Mrs Scallon is the wife of the late Michael Scallon, our founding member. |

As well as the founder members and Directors, other VIP guests included Down Council Chairman Mr Colin McGrath, accountant Mr Eamonn McGrady, Mrs Carmel Scallon and son, Ms Margaret Ritchie MLA and Mr Brian McCrory, Liason Officer with the Irish League of Credit Unions, who gave a speech on the Credit Union to everyone assembled.
